Search with Command+K

One shortcut searches your messages, tasks, and SOPs — and what it deliberately leaves out.

For everyone.

One search box covers your messages, tasks, and SOPs. It is the fastest way back to something you remember reading but cannot place.

Open it

  • Press Cmd + K on a Mac, or Ctrl + K on Windows, from anywhere in the app.
  • Or click Search near the top of the left sidebar.

Use it

  1. Start typing. Results appear as you type and are grouped by Messages, Tasks, and SOPs.
  2. Move through them with the up and down arrow keys, or point at one with the mouse.
  3. Press Enter or click to jump straight to it. Aiome opens the channel, task, or SOP in place.
  4. Press Esc to close without going anywhere.

What it does and does not cover

Search looks at messages, tasks, and SOPs. It does not find people, channels, projects, or file attachments — for those, open the section itself: Organization for people, Chat for channels, Projects for projects.

You only ever see things you already have access to. A private channel you are not in, or a restricted SOP, will not appear.

Searching for a person's name will not list the person, but it will surface messages and tasks that mention them — often the quicker route anyway.
